Utterly devastated by the news of the two huge earthquakes that struck Turkey and northwest Syria on Monday. More than 19,700 people have been killed and thousands more injured. The search and rescue effort has so far saved more than 8,000 people from the debris, but the World Health Organisation has estimated that the death toll will increase by “thousands”.

My heart breaks for everyone impacted by this tragedy, including some of my Proximie colleagues based in the area. On behalf of everyone at Proximie, I’m sending my heartfelt condolences to everyone impacted.

While we continue to explore how our platform can support the relief effort, Proximie will be making a donation to one of the Red Cross’ urgent Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeals and the Action For Humanity - International Emergency Syria Earthquake Appeal. I encourage anyone with the means to do likewise.
