Dr. Terri Friel is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in managing organizations across various industries and academic institutions worldwide.
She has taught a diverse range of students from undergraduates to CEOs, specializing in operations management, analysis, and strategy, providing a solid foundation for examining corporate issues from a board level perspective.
Her leadership roles have included positions at Procter and Gamble, Tastemakers, PepsiCo, Butler University, Heller College of Business, and as a board member, co-chair, executive board member, and treasurer at AFC.
Dr. Friel has also served as the CEO of Venture Connects and founded Doctus Inc, a consulting firm established in 1993 that has worked with prominent organizations such as Toyota, Sherwin Williams, and Hitachi in various industries like the Bourbon Industry, Automobile Industry, Consumer Goods, Retail, and Urban Planning.
In her academic endeavors, Dr. Friel has taught Executive MBA classes on Operations and Supply Chain at Capella University and Crakow University of Economics, covering topics like Statistics, Quality, and International Management, with expertise in NAFTA.
Her experience as a Baldrige Examiner, having served four times, has equipped her with a high-level understanding of corporate structures, processes, and finances, evaluating companies for prestigious awards like the Malcolm Baldrige Award in the United States.
Aside from her professional accomplishments, Dr. Friel is an accomplished author with three published books and numerous articles focusing on operations and management.
She holds a diverse educational background, with studies in Engineering/Industrial Management, Chemical Engineering, and French Language and Literature from institutions like Southern Methodist University, University of Louisville, and Eastern Kentucky University.
Furthermore, Dr. Friel is multilingual, fluent in French, conversational in Spanish, and presently learning Gaelic and Polish. She is also an Irish Citizen.
