Udo Lange

Dr. Lange served as President & CEO of FedEx Logistics from September 2019 to March 2023, a position he held for 3 years and 7 months. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles within FedEx, including CEO of FedEx Trade Networks and COO of FedEx Logistics.4
His career at FedEx began in August 2015, and he quickly rose through the ranks, taking on increasingly senior positions. Before joining FedEx, Dr. Lange held executive roles at other major companies in the logistics and transportation industry, including Lufthansa and DHL.4
As of September 1, 2023, Dr. Lange has taken on a new role as the Chief Executive Officer of Stolt-Nielsen Limited, a company that specializes in bulk-liquid logistics and sustainable land-based aquaculture.2
Dr. Lange's expertise and leadership have been widely recognized in the industry. In June 2020, he was named one of the "Top 10 Logistics Leaders" globally by Supply Chain Digital. He has also served as a member of the White House Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force and on numerous boards, including the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S.
In terms of education, Dr. Lange holds a Ph.D. in economic science from the University of Duisburg and a master's degree in business administration and mechanical engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.1
