He served as the Deputy Chief Innovation Officer at the U.S. Census Bureau, where he also held the position of Managing Director of Census Open Innovation Labs.

Prior to that, he worked as the Deputy Chief Data Officer for Innovation at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Drew Zachary's career highlights include serving as a Senior User Experience Advisor, Co-Founder and Director of The Opportunity Project, and Senior Analyst in the Commerce Data Service at different entities within the U.S. government.

His experience also extends to roles in policymaking and research, having worked as a Policy Advisor at the Executive Office of the President at The White House, and as a Presidential Management Fellow at both the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Furthermore, he has contributed his skills in research and design to organizations such as Starship Health Technologies, Institute for Child Youth and Family Policy, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he held the position of Research Lead and Design Specialist.
