Duncan Maitland

Dr. Duncan Maitland is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in various prestigious organizations. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, a Master of Science (MS) in Physics from Cleveland State University, and a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEE) from Cleveland State University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Maitland has held significant roles in several organizations, including being the Co-Founder and President at Bridgeway Innovations, LLC, the Stewart & Stevenson Professor I at Texas A&M University, and the Co-Founder and Director at Shape Memory Medical, Inc. He has also served as the Assistant Agency Director for Commercialization & Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and as an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Maitland has a rich history of involvement in various positions at LLNL, where he held roles as a Program Leader. He has also gained experience as a Graduate Student at Northwestern University, a student at NASA Glenn Research Center, and a System Engineer at Goodyear Aerospace.
