Highlights
So why did you start?
I ask a client this morning after our session on the Beach as we took time-out from what was next in our lives to reflect.
“I felt sluggish and that I never moved”
This really resonated with me and also with many conversations I had with clients/friends and family.
What was missing that made a difference?
“Making an appointment with someone - I’m not flaky and will always turn up”
This is what stops long term disappointment and builds progress I truly appreciate now. Nigel Issa knows this is true for me too. I love being with people. Better still I love being with people with a purpose and passion yet I still have my habits.
In a world of possibilities and options having someone hold “a space and a time” is so valuable when my/our attention and actions are habitually guided.
Todays session was on the beach … the weather forecast looked good. My client lives by the sea and I love that it is an amazing start to the day for us both.
1: outside (morning light) 2: moving barefoot (waking up the sole) 3. Playing rather than winning focused (bat and ball, tag boxing, resistance band walking backwards). 4. Conversations about work, health and opportunities.
As I write this, my feet are tingling and I’d appreciate that at the start of the session were a little cold and stiff and by the warm and energised.
Would love to read your reflections on this post by Nigel 👇 and anything on the above.☝️
Better still dare to have a conversation with someone you trust today about your fears and your ideas about improving the quality of your life experience. Which in my opinion is what coaching can do both mentally and physically.
Until next time think and move well.
When was the last time you truly appreciated what was making you different … (in the postive or negative)?
Another simply explained place to start with improving your overall performance by Nigel Issa.
Don’t let you body fall apart on the job… At least give yourself what you need to maintain what you already have.
it’s way harder to recover it in the idillic environment of retirement. Never mind the loss of enjoyment and performance during your career and the personal life side effects.
