Highlights
Hi LinkedIn friends — I'm excited to share that the National Geographic Society is hiring for a Director of Strategic Communications, who will lead the strategy to raise the visibility of the Society as an impact-driven nonprofit. This includes tying together our institutional announcements (like our awards, fundraising milestones and grant funding investments in National Geographic Explorers) into an overarching narrative to help our audiences understand and support the amazing work that's underway.
The person in this role will also shape the comms strategy for our Base Camp project to transform National Geographic's public experience here in D.C.
If you know anyone who may be interested, please encourage them to apply! We're also hiring for two Specialist roles in Comms right now (internal comms and impact comms), so check out our careers page for more.
All of these roles are hybrid, which at the Society means we're in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We also have some great benefits, like the ability to work remotely (from anywhere!) during the months of July and August.
