Happy 3.21!

Today, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! A day where we

  • Promote diversity & inclusion,
  • Advocate for human rights and opportunities,
  • And bring awareness and understanding.

The first photo is with my friend, Bailey, and I visited WFAA studios earlier this week to talk about disability inclusion in news media.

The second photo is with another friend, Annemarie, her dad Pat, and I were at a recent birthday party.

I’m grateful, honored to know many bright individuals with down syndrome who shine the room with their joy, enthusiasm, and kindness. #LetsWorkInclusively #CelebrateDifferences

Keep Grinding!

Two months later, I am still actively looking for the next best career opportunity.

It has been a busy couple of months going through a roller coaster of emotions and uncertainty. The road to employment is not easy.

However, I am grateful to voluntarily serve and run the North Texas Disability Chamber and it has kept me busy. Delivering speaking engagements to attending meetings and to managing community events.

Good news, yesterday, I had my first career interview and grateful for the opportunity. And, temporary consulting offers have been extended but nothing is set in stone yet.

I share to give you and others hope. Stay positive, determined, and continue to put yourself out there. Thank you all for your support and look forward to hearing more opportunities from you. #LetsWorkInclusively
