At Salesforce, employees are eligible to take up to seven days (56 hours) of paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) per year supporting the communities we serve. Our BRGs, internal employee resource groups play a vital part in connecting external volunteer opportunities that uplift and support their respective communities with employees who want to make an impact within that community.

This past week Latinoforce, our ERG empowering Latinx & Hispanic employees and allies at Salesforce, hosted over 30+ students from the "I Have A Dream" Foundation at our headquarters in San Francisco. This organization is working to ensure that all children have the opportunity to pursue higher education, fulfill their potential, and achieve their dreams. The program is focused on youth from under-resourced communities and provides program support over a multi-year sometimes multi-decade horizon. Students enrolled in the program are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in postsecondary school, along with tuition support to remove financial barriers all of which are essential for a future path of success in life.

Along with a tour of our SF office, we hosted a "Career Discussion" panel. Gratitude for Paulina Cajiao Alvarado ☁️ a local Latinoforce leader organizing and for my fellow panelists Veronica Sandoval Guerrero Josefina Jimenez Plaister Jeff Loaisiga Andrés Medrano Erin Clark who shared their story, life lessons and cautionary tales they've experienced through their career. Every little bit of wisdom can make a difference to inspire future generations on their path to be reach their full potential and be great someday.

Every year Disability:IN publishes their Disability Equality Index which ranges from 0 to 100 and covers a variety of areas including culture & leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices, Community Engagement, Supplier Diversity and Responsible Procurement. Those that earn 80 and above are recognized as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” 🏆

For the sixth consecutive year, Salesforce has earned a top ranking score of 100 on the Index 👏 ❤️ And this year we had the opportunity to expand our benchmarking into three new countries in UK, Germany, and Japan. All have joined the US in earning this top score this year. Amazing work by so many teams who have played a part but truly inspirational leadership from our Office of Accessibility, Employee Resource Groups in Abilityforce and leaders who are champions of disability inclusion.

Although this recognition is a moment to celebrate, our progress around global disability inclusion for all employees is not done.
