As many of you know, I’ve been transitioning toward full retirement for the past couple of years, and I’ve finally reached the end of that journey. I’m still planning to make myself available to advise and mentor and to share any wisdom I may have accumulated over time, but I’ll be doing that with a new title, Retired.

When I started my career, I could never have imagined where the journey would take me. It has been a wonderful, sometimes wild ride. I am proud to have worked for a handful of great, high-integrity firms. I had fantastic mentors to learn from. I worked as part of and/or led numerous high-performing teams. And, I was lucky enough to play a part in several large-scale IT transformations. I will be eternally grateful for the many opportunities I had to make real, meaningful impact.

I can’t possibly call out all the fantastic individuals I’ve worked for and with, but I hope that this platform might offer an effective means to saying thank you to at least some of the people that I have worked with over the past several decades. I appreciate the help and support that my network of friends, colleagues, mentors and leaders provided me. I will be forever grateful.

Similarly, I hope this message reaches some of the people whom I had the pleasure to lead or mentor over time.  I’m proud to have worked with many talented members of the current and next generation of IT leaders, and I hope to have helped them along their own journeys. I wish them the best of luck.

I look forward to this next phase of my journey, but I’ll always look back fondly on my career. As I said at the outset, I could never have imagined what a wonderful ride it would be. I'm excited to start my new job! #retired

This past week, Protiviti team members immersed themselves in the dynamic and invigorating atmosphere of the 2024 NABA national convention in Las Vegas. We asked some of our Protiviti attendees what their favorite part of this year’s convention was and how the theme of Flow resonates with them.
