Ed Perkins is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the electronics industry, where his expertise spans a wide range of areas including hardware design automation, program and project management, mixed-signal test development automation, design services management, chip architecture development, software development, and real-time embedded systems programming.

His current focus lies in operational risk management and auditing, where he utilizes his Certified Internal Auditor designation to specialize in enterprise risk management, IT governance, and information security policy.

Ed is the developer of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework workshop, showcasing his deep knowledge and contribution to the field of cybersecurity.

He pursued his higher education, earning a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University and another Master's degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Throughout his career, Ed has been actively involved in various organizations and leadership roles within the IEEE, where he held positions such as Chair of IEEE SusTech 2023, Secretary of the Nanotechnology Council, and Region 6 Director. He has also contributed as a volunteer and served in roles focusing on professional activities, membership recruitment, and program management.

His wealth of experience and dedication to the field make him a reputable figure in the industry, with a strong background in both technical and managerial aspects of electronics and cybersecurity.
