I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President of Client Success & Strategic Accounts at MVP!

I am equal parts thrilled and humbled to share that I will be now overseeing the entire customer life cycle here at MVP. I learned a lot about business over my last two decades in sales: how to have direct conversations, how to interpret the needs of a prospect to effectively align value with client objectives or expressed pain points, and how to collaborate effectively with teams both internally and externally to drive successful outcomes. After a lot of reflection over the last several months, I came to realize that the most enjoyable part of sales for me had always been the work required after a deal was signed. This is where I was able to work closely with the account team to ensure that the promises I made to a complete stranger whose trust I had earned would not only be met but exceeded. I quickly understood that if I always kept that goal front and center I would never have to sell anything ever again because that business contact would likely come back next time to buy. And oftentimes those strangers not only became customers but my friends. It is always a lot of hard work with an incredibly basic formula.

Thank you to Melissa Terrell for showing me how this job should truly be done and raising the bar for how to use systems and process to lay a successful customer infrastructure. Thank you to Cuyler Owens for being the most effective manager I have ever worked for teaching me how if you prioritize people, the numbers always end up taking care of themselves. Thank you to Melissa (Michaelis) Randall and Lauren Allison for being extraordinary and patient teammates that made the decision to take this challenge on a much easier one. Thank you to Brian Foley for the opportunity. Thank you to Steve Kupfer, Scott Dean and Eric Leal for all the coaching through the years and making me understand my value. Thank you to my parents nancy ciminelli and Ed Ciminelli because even though we work in completely different worlds, the lessons I learned from you both about how to exceed customer expectations and the importance of following through in doing what you say you are going to do has led to literally every success I have ever achieved professionally. Finally and certainly not least, thank you to my partner Jessica Conlon for ALWAYS supporting me through a career that was never boring and rarely predictable, for always grounding me into acceptance to focus on working the problem, and most importantly demonstrating for me what it actually looks like to be a real servant leader. You are the best teacher I have ever had.

This Oscar speech is over and thank you for allowing me to express my gratitude to all the people who helped me along the way.

It's time to get to work. #mvp
