This year’s theme is “Protecting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation and Initial Contact.” Since there are so few Indigenous folks who have not been affected by colonization and chose to live in isolation, they have the right to not have interference from outsiders. Let’s celebrate the culture, beauty, and contributions of Indigenous innovators today and every day. ✊🏽
