Edgar's book, Decolonizing Wealth, released in 2018, presents innovative solutions to the colonial legacies present in philanthropy and social finance, while his organization, Decolonizing Wealth Project, aims to address these issues and promote equitable practices.

In 2019, Edgar founded Liberated Capital, a fund advocating for a reparations model to empower communities historically affected by racism, encouraging support for their leadership and initiatives.
