Hennes & Mauritz (#H&M) is a global fashion giant. They are a strong supporter of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). However, the #Journal reports that H&M is concerned about using carbon offsets to lower carbon emissions. Primacy should be given to lowering internal carbon emissions, not to purchase carbon credits and operate business as usual. The Biden’s administration issued similar guidelines for the voluntary carbon market. I am happy that we are making positive and substantive changes.
