Today remains one of the most glorious days of the year for Boston and New England as a whole. A tremendous weekend celebrating the athletes of the Boston Marathon. Also time for us to pause and again remember the lives lost on this fateful day in 2013. Deep appreciation also, for all of the first responders who protect the runners and spectators celebrating today. Boston remains STRONG.
Ten years on, and we remember the event like it was yesterday. Powerful day today, reuniting at that venerable Finish Line with those families whose lives were forever changed on that unforgettable Marathon Monday. Always a day to reflect and remember the impacts of tragedy & the lives lost. I will always respect the efforts of police, fire and EMS who helped save so many lives that day. The resilience, spirit, and endurance of all of the victim inspires me to this day. All of those incredible and inspirational spirits defined what it means to be #BostonStrong #BostonMarathon #OneBostonDay
