Edward Liu, currently serving as the Vice Chairman of Bank of America's Technology Investment Banking Group and the Global Head of Software, has had an illustrious career spanning over two decades in the finance and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2024, Ed founded and led Drumlin Partners, a strategic advisory and investment firm with a focus on the software industry. Ed also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Zocdoc, where he managed the company's financial operations.

Ed's extensive investment banking background includes over 20 years at Morgan Stanley, where he served as Co-Head of Americas Technology Investment Banking. He has advised on a multitude of transactions, including IPOs, M&A, equity and debt raises, and private capital investments, totaling over 150 deals.

During his time at Morgan Stanley, Ed was a key member of the investment committee at the Multicultural Innovation Lab, an internal startup accelerator within the organization.

Before his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Ed gained experience at McKinsey & Company, offering strategic and operational guidance to Fortune 500 companies, and at Apax Partners, where he focused on growth equity investments in private technology firms.

Ed's impressive educational background includes an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.

Edward Liu has been instrumental in leading numerous high-profile M&A transactions, such as the $35B sale of Red Hat to IBM, $3B sale of Qlik to Thoma Bravo, and many others, showcasing his expertise in deal-making within the software industry.

Additionally, Ed has led several notable IPO and financing deals, including the $750M IPO of Datadog, $1.2B IPO of Chewy, and various other significant transactions, demonstrating his prowess in capital markets.

Throughout his career, Ed has held various key positions, such as being the Global Head of Software at Bank of America, the Founder and Managing Partner of Drumlin Partners, the Chief Financial Officer at Zocdoc, and the Co-Head of Americas Technology Banking at Morgan Stanley, among other notable roles.
