Highlights
I made a promise to myself never to wear a corporate suit again, both literally and figuratively. It just isn't my thing; it doesn't resonate with me, it drags me down.
Today, a suit jacket serves as a fashion statement, not a representation of my professional abilities, nor a signal to the world to take me seriously in a professional setting.
I used to wear suit jackets as a way to signal that I belonged to the 'grind tribe,' that I was part of the tech world, that I meant business. Looking back, I realize it was deeply rooted in my insecurity to prove my worth to the tech community, so I tried to compensate by presenting myself in a way that said, 'I'm the real deal.' But the truth of the matter is, I am the real deal. My accomplishments and abilities speak for themselves; my integrity and hard work are a testament to the value I can provide. It's not about the clothes or adhering to a 9-5 work hour lifestyle.
Today, you'll find me in flowy pants paired with a crop top, sitting in a cafe on the beach, with my laptop. Sometimes, I'm deeply engrossed in my work; other times, I'm engaging with the locals, discovering the best places to eat or swim.
My personal lifestyle has evolved into one that brings me the utmost happiness. It's become my default, allowing me to tap into my authenticity, femininity, and productivity.
Over the past few months, I've embarked on a freelancing journey, striking a balance between adding value to companies and fully embracing my personal life.
I've been working on small-scale projects, providing consulting services to e-commerce businesses of various sizes. However, I'm now eager to be part of a larger, more extended project where I can truly make a significant impact. I've also joined a 3-year coaching education program. It's an opportunity to learn how to navigate the world in the most authentic way possible, guided by our individual value systems.
My 3 year goal is to become a certified coach and begin helping those who are seeking guidance.
In the meantime, I aim to bridge the gap between my skills and my true passion. Currently, I'm on the lookout for a company in need of freelance consulting for their growth goals, one that aligns with my core values: freedom (the freedom to express oneself, choose where and when to work), empathetic management, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. While I'm particularly interested in mental health tech solutions, I remain flexible, as long as it contributes positively to the world.
If you're a founder of such a company or know someone who is, please reach out. Let's have a conversation about how we can collaborate and mutually benefit from each other's expertise.
I bring a wealth of experience as a growth strategist, alumni of Reforge's Product-led Growth cohort, ex CMO, Growth Manager, and CRO over the last 5+ years
