Highlights
This time last year, my colleagues were at the White House commemorating the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act. Since then, we’ve seen a ramp of manufacturing facilities to develop a domestic clean energy supply chain. Simultaneously, SunPower Corporation has focused on educating consumers about the beneficial incentives in the IRA, unveiled new financing solutions to allow more people to access residential solar and the bill savings that come along with it, and implemented new training programs to create a dynamic workforce that is meeting growing consumer demand. All of this is setting the foundation to make clean energy accessible to all Americans. With these building blocks in place, it's time to shift our attention toward consumer adoption of clean energy at home. Residential solar is one of the fastest ways to help many Americans save money on energy costs and quickly make a dent in our climate goals – making it one of the most important initiatives in the Inflation Reduction Act. In the coming year, our focus, in partnership with allied organizations, is to get the electric bill savings that come with residential solar into the hands of those Americans that need it most. We will emphasize programs that drive adoption, particularly by expanding our efforts in areas that are transitioning to clean energy from fossil fuels. We are on the precipice of a great energy revolution in this country. It will require all our continued efforts to turn the IRA vision into reality.
