Highlights
Friday will be my last day at Jabra Hearing (fka Lively).
Friday also marks exactly five and a half years since Adam Karp, Nicole Cadoret, and I co-founded Lively along with Redesign Health as its first Opco. I am really proud of what we have accomplished and decided it is the right time for me to start building something new.
We’ve built and scaled a mission-driven company that helped tens of thousands of people to have a better life by hearing to their full potential. We’ve built a DTC business that scaled also to a B2B2C business, got acquired by the most innovative Hearing Aid manufacturer, GN Group (the parent company of ReSound and Jabra ), and our company marks the first Redesign Health company exit.
It is a bittersweet moment for me. We've built an amazing team with first-class human beings who are also ROCKSTARS and I will dearly miss working with them. Having this amazing team makes me confident that the company is fully equipped to keep growing and scaling to the next level with Steve Jacobs's leadership as the new company president.
I would like to thank, first and foremost, my amazing co-founders, Adam Karp and Nicole Cadoret who were a major part of the most amazing experience I had in my career. I’ve learned so much from them both. I could not ask for better co-founders.
Thank you to my amazing engineering team (LinkedIn will break if I tag each one of them) for making my job as a CTO way easier than it could otherwise be. Thank you to my engineering leaders Pavel Petrov, Ruslan Rusu, Marvin Kim, Jim Baca, and Mehdi Razvi for being such awesome leaders and for being true role models for our engineering team.
Thank you to the mighty senior leadership team that played a huge role in building and scaling our company - Steve Lehman, Christina Callahan, Neal Modi, Steve Jacobs, and Donna Riggle.
Thank you to the amazing first engineers I had on the team - Pavel Petrov, Anton Gunkin and Isak Nahmias. We've spent together long evenings and nights in making our platform come to life. You guys are the best.
Thank you, Harvey Abrams and Christina Callahan for teaching me everything I know about hearing and hearing loss.
Thanks to GN Group for believing in us, and especially Paul Martin for advocating for us from day 1, and to B Scott Davis for your great partnership and leadership.
Thanks to the awesome OG Redesign Health team for your partnership - Brett Shaheen, David Rust, Andrew Unger, and Kyle Tatz.
Thank you to all of our customers who trusted us.
What's next? “A builder builds”... More to come in the next few months.
We’ve built Lively so we can offer high-quality, affordable hearing care that is simple and accessible to everyone. We’ve helped tens of thousands of happy customers hear better with our innovative online care model. And we’re not stopping there.
As most of you know, GN Group acquired Lively almost a year ago, and I am excited to share that Lively is now Jabra Hearing! New name and look, but our mission is the same: to help people hear their best. We are hiring across engineering, product and finance, come join us!
