Elaine Montegriffo's educational background includes studying at Monash Business School, the University of Melbourne, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Reading, and a Masters in International Development and Social Science from RMIT University.

Elaine has held various roles in different organizations, serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Leadership Victoria. She was previously an Associate at Spark Strategy, Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair at Women's Health West, and Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Fundraising Committee at Environment Victoria. Elaine has also served as the Director of People and Organizational Effectiveness at the Australian Red Cross, CEO at Secondbite, Country Director in Lao PDR at Oxfam Australia, and East Asia Program Planning Manager at Oxfam Australia, among other significant roles in organizations such as Australian Volunteers International, Environmental Education Centre, Mercer, EY, Arthur Andersen & Co., KPMG UK, Deloitte UK, and PwC.
