Elena Manola-Bonthond

Elena Manola-Bonthond is a highly educated professional with a diverse background across business administration and particle physics.

She holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Geneva, a PhD in Particle Physics from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, and a Dipl. Ing. in Physics from the University of Zagreb.

Elena has an extensive history of involvement with various prestigious organizations in different capacities.

She has served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the CAIA Association, a Trustee at the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI), and an External Member on the Pension Fund Committee at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

In addition, Elena has held positions such as Chief Investment Officer at the CERN Pension Fund, External Member on the Investment Committee at UNESCO, and Head of Planning and Alternative Assets at CERN.

Her experience also includes roles as a Project Leader, Section Leader, and Group Leader at CERN, as well as being a Fellow in Research Physics with the CMS Experiment and a PhD candidate involved in the NOMAD experiment focusing on neutrino oscillations at CERN.
