Eleonore Fournier-Tombs is a seasoned professional in the field of global affairs with a focus on technology, gender, and international organizations.

With a strong interest in promoting inclusivity and reducing inequality, she brings over 15 years of experience in international development, finance, and humanitarian aid.

Currently serving as the Head of Anticipatory Action and Innovation at the UNU Centre for Policy Research in New York, Eleonore is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa and teaches courses at the Université de Montréal.

Her educational background includes a diverse range of degrees such as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Information Science/Studies from McGill University, a PhD in Sciences de la société mention systèmes de l’information from the University of Geneva, and a Master of Information in Knowledge Media Design from the University of Toronto.

Eleonore's professional journey has seen her in various roles such as Research Lead at the AI Advisory Body and Senior Data Scientist at the United Nations, as well as holding positions at reputable institutions like the University of Ottawa, McGill University, and The World Bank.

She has also enriched her career by engaging in roles outside academia and international organizations, including stints at RedOwl Analytics, Motivate Canada, and UNICEF Canada.
