Elisa Barbado is a seasoned Humanitarian professional with over 15 years of experience in various field and strategic roles across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. She boasts a strong academic background with a B.A. in Social Studies, M.A. in Risk Prevention and Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Humanitarian Action from Deakin University. Elisa has fluency in Spanish, English, and French, enabling her to work effectively in diverse multicultural environments.

Throughout her career, Elisa has held key positions in international and national non-governmental organizations, local government, donors, and the United Nations. Her expertise spans humanitarian protection, gender issues, rapid response coordination, emergency management, disaster recovery, and conflict prevention.

Elisa's educational journey includes studying Humanitarian Leadership at Deakin University, European Master's in Community Risk Prevention and Management from Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Postgraduate Studies in Project Management for Development Cooperation from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a degree in Social Education from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
