Elise Paradis

Elise Paradis is a highly energetic and data-driven researcher with a focus on understanding the social world and enhancing healthcare delivery.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Elise holds appointments in various fields such as Pharmacy, Anesthesia, Sociology, Health Professions Education, and Public Health.

She is a renowned expert in qualitative research methods and specializes in teamwork enhancement, particularly in clinical settings like the ICU, OR, and primary care.

Elise's work is supported by prestigious funders like CIHR and SSHRC, employing historical and qualitative methods, including observation research, to enhance team dynamics and performance.

Having completed her Ph.D. in Sociology of Education at Stanford University, Elise received a Currie Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto's Wilson Centre.

She also holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Stanford University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Toronto.

Elise Paradis is a former SSHRC Doctoral Scholar and a former TD Canada Trust Scholar for Outstanding Community Leadership.
