Elizabeth Boggs Davidsen is a seasoned leader and development practitioner with a strong focus on achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

She is currently spearheading a private sector initiative at the UN Development Program, aimed at leveraging private sector financing through partnerships and innovative financial structures.

With a rich background as the head of Knowledge Economy at the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Elizabeth managed a diverse portfolio of nearly $40 million in grants and investments across 18 countries and the U.S.

Her work at IDB involved leading a large team dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and a competitive workforce to support the new economy, while also building ecosystems to drive sustainable development.

Elizabeth is known for her expertise in designing scalable programs for corporations and financial institutions, focusing on areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and technology transfer.

She excels in promoting collaborative efforts among private sector, government, philanthropic, and civil society entities to advocate for private sector investment in the SDGs.

Elizabeth's international experience extends to roles as a Program Officer for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria, and for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Khartoum, Sudan.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish, a Master of Arts in Spanish from Middlebury College, and a Master of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on Latin American Economic Development from Georgetown University.

Elizabeth Boggs Davidsen has held key positions such as Director of SDG Impact at UNDP, Senior Advisor for Private Sector at UNDP, and various leadership roles at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), including Chief of Multilateral Investment Fund, Principal Investment Officer, and others.

She is a recognized expert in grant management, adept at engaging with senior government officials, corporate executives, nonprofits, and academic leaders worldwide to drive sustainable development initiatives.
