Elizabeth Buchan is a dedicated individual with an extensive educational background in public administration, climate change policies, international relations, and languages. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Governance at the University of Canberra. Currently, Elizabeth is pursuing an Honours Degree in Climate Change International and Domestic Policy at the Fenner School of Environment and Society. Her undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy and International Relations with a focus on French from The Australian National University, where she also studied Beginners Spanish.

Elizabeth has a diverse professional history, having served in various roles within governmental organizations and international entities. She has worked as a Second Secretary and Consul at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, contributing to diplomatic efforts and international relations. Previously, she held positions as a Policy Officer focusing on aid, development policy, and international climate change negotiations within the same department. Elizabeth has also been involved with the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties 21 in Paris, where she served as the CliMates delegation Coordinator.
