What is something you do even though we have technological solutions you could use?
After being unplugged for a week for vacation, I came back to work today and my inbox was, well, overwhelming. Here's my sure-fire way to clear the clutter and catch up quickly: I set up rules in my inbox to highlight anything that is important while I am out (such as emails from the C-suite, or updates on projects). Next, I create a rule for any newsletters I get (as a marketer, I get a LOT) to go in a folder. Finally, I scan emails for anything with a deadline - those will get triaged right after I read the c-suite related emails. And, in just under 1 hour, I'm back to inbox serenity. What are your tips for not having to check your email while on vacation in order to avoid the dreaded inbox overwhelm upon return?
