In today’s market environment, the Private Equity industry’s ability to drive operational value-add is more important than ever. Assumptions put into place 18 months ago may no longer be relevant. Firms need to reassess their strategies, and the ways in which the levers of cash, cost, talent, technology and ESG may need to be reassessed in order to deliver their promised optimal returns.

Yesterday was certainly busy but rewarding. In the afternoon, we hosted the FBO Spring Event, with six banks joining us at our One Manhattan Office. Attendees represented all three lines of defense, facilitating discussions and sharing perspectives. Thank you Yi Gao for co-leading the event with me. The topics covered included: IIF/EY Global Bank Risk Survey: A special thanks to Tom Campanile – Leader of Financial Services Risk Consulting – for hosting this discussion. Artificial Intelligence: Appreciation to @Jan Zhao and Ran Zhou for leading the discussion on this topic. Cybersecurity: Thanks to Debbie Oviedo and Dinika Dsouza for hosting the discussion. I'd like to express gratitude to everyone who attended the event in person, contributing to its dynamic and interactive nature. We value the questions posed and the challenges shared. Lastly, a heartfelt appreciation to Ryan(Ruixiang) Ma for leading the planning team (Rebecca Ma, Yizhong (Steven) Guo, Sunny Liang,Ziyun(Jenn),Ziyun(Jenn) Liang, CPA) and ensuring the event's success. Later that evening, I attended the Committee of 100 annual Gala, where prestigious speakers such as Ambassador Katherine Tai, Congressman Andy Kim, Ambassador Nicholas Burns, and Ambassador Gary Locke graced the stage. It was a fantastic networking opportunity, and I felt proud to represent the Asian community. Thank you 张晓青Shau Zhang for making it happen for me to join such a wonderful Gala with you.
