Picture yourself in 10-15 years time.....
You look pretty much the same (yay) maybe just a few more creaking sounds 😅
But now imagine that nothing else has really changed in your life, either.
Your financial status Your friendship circles Your hobbies Your living situation Your downtime ... your work
For most people, this will be largely true. It's much less effort to go through life along the same trajectory we've always been on than it is to disrupt the status quo and make big moves .
Maybe that's a good thing for you.
But many people I speak to want more.
More connection, more inspiration, more purpose, more creativity, more wealth, more freedom, more fulfilment.
I am not a life coach per se, but after a decade helping people to go after their ideal work and build businesses, I know what a great unlock your work can be for every area of your life.
Doing work you love can create amazing connections, friendships, create more confidence, excitement, and financial security to afford a really nice life.
If you want to change the trajectory of your life, don't expect it to just happen as a result of passing time.
Make intentional choices now, and the results will follow.
If you are looking for help making changes to your work (stepping into a bold next move, starting, growing or pivoting a business etc), coaching is a powerful tool in your arsenal to make this happen.
If we've not met before and this sounds like you, how about a virtual cuppa to say hello? ☕
A lot of 'success' in business comes down to getting the balance right between the 'old' 👵 and the 'new' 👶
Here's what I mean...
We can all agree these NEW things seem like a great use of time:
👶 ✓ Creating new offers for customers who have already bought the existing ones ✓ Refreshing your products and services in line with trends, economy and competition ✓ Growing your network with new connections ✓ Attending new events, buying new reports, discovering new ideas and inspiration ✓ Updating your web channels and socials to reflect your latest thinking ✓ Changing your email funnels, lead magnets and intro offers to attract new audiences and create new momentum ✓ Gaining new skills and valuable experiences/learning to apply to your business
Yet, not at the expense of doing the old things, too:
👵 ✓ Maintaining close contact with previous clients + collaborators ✓ Reminding yourself of your purpose, your why and values ✓ Staying in your zone of genius and strength zone ✓ Repeating your message and mission regularly enough so that people remember it (and actually know what you do and stand for) ✓ Sticking to the plan, trusting the process, knowing some things take time to bear fruit (not constantly reinventing the wheel) ✓ Acknowledging those who have given you a leg up in your career so far ✓ Repurposing content and ideas that have been successful ✓ Keeping best sellers and your leading ideas front and centre ✓ Repacking products/services that have done well in a different way
Don't keep wrapping yourself up in new ideas and wondering where your results are.
Success in business can feel boring.
Stick with the old tried and proven tactics, too.
....
PS did you know I coach founders and entrepreneurs to go after their big vision and make it a reality? I have 2 spots left this summer, get in touch via DM or The Ask website if you're curious.
