Career update: After nearly 2 years at Step and a decade in the fintech space––I like the great Serena Williams––also recently came to the conclusion that I needed to evolve away from one passion so I could begin pursuing another. For me, that was education.

Over the past 10 years, I've had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible companies taking on big problems like financial literacy and income inequality. While there's still more work to be done, it's also amazing to see how much progress has been made. And, while I will certainly remain a fintech geek in my spare time, it's time for me to embark on a new mission: enabling affordable access to education on a global scale.

The pandemic taught us many things, but one that really stuck out to me was how many people started to reasses their lives and reskill so they could pursue their true passions and discover some new ones, too. Udemy has built an incredible marketplace and community to help people do just that, which is why I couldn't be more thrilled to be joining the team (and have the opportunity to work with Stacey Zolt Hara again). Onward!
