Ellie's documentaries have garnered attention, being featured on esteemed platforms such as The Guardian, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, as well as screened at renowned festivals globally.

She is an alumna of Film Independent's Project Involve fellowship program and SFFILM’s FilmHouse Residency Program.

Ellie is a two-time filmmaker envoy with American Film Showcase, representing the U.S. State Department.

Ellie Wen holds an MFA in Documentary Film from Stanford University and currently serves as a producer at Actual Films in San Francisco.

Her educational journey includes studies in Drama, Sociology, and Documentary Film & Video at Stanford University, as well as specialized training in acting, dancing, and more.

Throughout her career, Ellie has held various roles ranging from Associate Producer to Co-Producer to Director of Development, showcasing her multifaceted skill set.

She has a strong foundation in the film industry, with experiences in production, development, acquisitions, and talent management, among others.
