Highlights
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Member Board of Directors at Movia, Inc.!
🎥⚠️ Recently a Marvel film plot was leaked online… This type of thing happens way too often! That’s why I am excited to share that my team will be at #NAB this week working with key partners to secure the Film & TV industry.
As a 30+ year cybersecurity veteran and a life-long comic & film fan I’m deeply disappointed by the prevalence of leaks in Hollywood. There is a very troubling cottage industry around sharing critical plot points, scripts, dialogue, release schedules, concept art, posters, casts, and workprints (videos near completion) online. Leaks not only cause ‘spoilers’ – they have a significant financial impact, potentially costing production companies tens of millions of dollars. The old, ineffective ‘whack-a-mole approach’ has been to request information to be pulled off the internet after it has been posted. And we all know once its online you can’t get it back. Or you can attempt to take a legal route if you can even identify the original source. Neither approach proactively prevents these leaks from happening in the first place. Keyavi’s intelligent, self-protecting, and self-reporting data platform provides film studios full control over their data forever, regardless of how many copies are made or where they are stored.
We look forward to speaking with everyone at the show.
