Emilie Lee, a renowned classically trained oil painter, infuses her art with inspiration drawn from her adventurous lifestyle and traditional realist painting roots.

Emilie's plein-air and still life paintings reflect her deep connection with nature, spanning from the serene deserts of southern Utah to the majestic Japanese Alps to the tranquility of her own garden in Carpinteria, California.

Originally graduating with a degree in illustration from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design in 2004, Emilie's illustrative work has graced the pages of acclaimed outdoor adventure publications such as 'Alpinist Magazine,' Patagonia, and 'Rock and Ice.'

During her time in New York, Emilie honed her craft under the tutelage of the esteemed painter and educator Jacob Collins, spending four years dedicated to studying with him. She further enriched her artistic skills by serving as a principal artist and instructor at the Grand Central Atelier. Additionally, Emilie holds the esteemed title of senior fellow at the Hudson River Fellowship, showcasing her standing in the artistic community.

Following her artistic journey that took her from New York to Vermont, Emilie Lee now calls Carpinteria, California her home base, where she continues to create captivating works of art that resonate with viewers on a profound level.
