Emily Montier

Emily Montier is an accomplished professional with a strong academic background and a wealth of experience in international development, crisis anticipation, risk finance, and humanitarian response. She holds an MSc in Development Studies with a specialization in International Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science, where she graduated with Distinction. Additionally, Emily completed her MA Honours in Psychology with a first-class distinction at The University of Edinburgh. Emily currently serves as the Head of Crisis Anticipation and Risk Finance at Start Network, where she demonstrates her expertise in proactively identifying and managing crises. Prior to her current role, she held positions such as Project Manager New Business Models and Crisis Anticipation Advisor within the same organization. Emily also has a strong humanitarian background, having served as an Acting Humanitarian Advisor and Humanitarian Response Officer at Save the Children UK. She has previously worked in various roles, including Assistant Development Officer at the British Red Cross, Psychosocial Advisor at Relief International, and as a Programme Development Intern at Relief International.
