Dr. Emily J. Salisbury is an accomplished Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Utah with a specialization in criminology.

She is the Director of the Utah Criminal Justice Center and is renowned for her work in correctional assessment and treatment intervention strategies.

Dr. Salisbury is the co-creator of the Women's Risk Needs Assessments (WRNAs), a peer-reviewed system focusing on the unique needs and strengths of justice-involved women.

She has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Criminal Justice and Behavior journal and is widely published in academic journals and books.

Her expertise is sought by various correctional agencies globally to implement gender-responsive and evidence-based practices.

Educationally, she holds a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Salisbury's vast experience includes advisory roles, academic positions, and active consultation with corrections departments around the globe.
