Emily Stinson is a highly experienced consultant with over 5 years of expertise in modeling the bioaccumulation of semivolatile compounds and metals in ecological systems, conducting human and ecological risk assessments, and working on environmental field projects.

During her career, Emily has specialized in assessing risks associated with chemicals such as dibenzo-p-dioxin (dioxin) and dibenzofuran (furan) in soil, sediments, and surface water, utilizing her skills to develop contaminant profiles and identify potential sources of pollution.

Her current research focuses on enhancing ecological risk models for perfluorinated compounds by leveraging data from multiple Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) sites.

Emily's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Psychology from Hamilton College.

She has held various positions in esteemed organizations, including Geosyntec Consultants where she currently serves as a Scientist, and has previously worked as a Senior Staff Scientist at the same organization.

Prior to her tenure at Geosyntec, Emily gained valuable experience as an Environmental Scientist and Field Staff at Formation Environmental, LLC. She also worked as a Research/Consultant at Terra Mentis Environmental Consulting and as a Research Technician for WYNDD at the University of Wyoming.
