Last week I took the day off of work to walk at my graduation from Parsons School of Design - The New School with a degree in Interior Design.

I’ve been working toward this goal since the fall of 2020 when I decided to take a chance on myself. Since then, I’ve been closing my work laptop and rushing to catch the train downtown, taking classes until late into the night and doing it all again the next morning.

It may seem like a departure to dedicate so much to a degree in design when my day job has me focused on data and identity in #adtech. After a few years I can tell you that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Here are some skills I’ve mastered as a designer that I apply to my work every day:

  • Intently listening to the needs of a client
  • Creative solution building
  • Collaboration and compromise
  • Willingness to leave a bad idea behind no matter how long I’ve worked on it
  • Understanding nuance and detail
  • Appreciating simplicity and clarity
  • Visual communication
  • Developing a strong concept
  • Believing in the power of commitment

For those of you wondering if this is a farewell to adtech, do not fear! I’m back in office focusing on #addressability and #thirdpartycookiedeprecation

We are often asked about the results of our Privacy Sandbox testing -- but why aren't we getting more questions about how that testing methodology is established, and what test size will yield statistically significant results? Our R&D team including Elias Selman and Caio Camilli dove into challenges around statistical testing that all Sandbox testers should be aware of in a recent blog post. Proud to be a part of a team here at Criteo taking a scientific approach to advertising 💪
