Biomedical Engineering PhD candidate at Boston University - NSF Graduate Research Fellow

Emma Bortz is a dedicated professional with a strong background in ultrasound neuromodulation through imaging approaches.

Having excelled academically, Emma was the Valedictorian at Mead Senior High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tulane University.

She further pursued her academic interests and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.

Emma has gained valuable research experience as a Doctoral Researcher at Boston University and has also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Summer Research Intern at Tulane University.

Her diverse professional background also includes roles outside academia, such as being a Senior Camp Counselor at Camp Solomon Schechter and a Piano Instructor at Janice Smith Piano Studio.
