“I don’t even know where to begin in describing my plant medicine experience facilitated by Emma. It brought so much abundance back into my life, it blew the door open: I am suddenly 100% booked in my work. I am so much more present in my relationships. I am way more openhearted and better at dealing with life’s challenges”

These words of one of my clients touched me so deeply. Such shares are exactly the reason I am so enthusiastic about this work

As we all know, life throws challenges at you. We all experience difficult phases. Those can be tough to deal with alone

How my client described her state of being before we started working:

“I was numbing myself through food, Netflix and being busy. It felt like a disease, more than just a cloud passing by. I felt deep under water. I didn’t feel like myself and I felt out of control

I tried getting out of it by doing the things I normally do to help me out. But they didn’t work this time”

That triggered her to do two psychedelic sessions. What she said:

“Before our session, Emma and me had an intake to discuss my intentions. She asked exactly the right questions, allowing us to dig deeper, so I could fully understand my reasons for doing this

I admit I had a lot of resistance going into it. I was  scared. But Emma being there made me feel safe. I felt so nurtured, supported and held throughout the entire journey

The experience itself had dark and raw moments, but it was also absolutely incredible. My sadness and depression felt like being pulled out. I wiped the slate clean, I could move on. This was also possible because Emma was with me the entire time. It allowed me to really go into it and go through this

Right after the session I felt I needed to share what I had felt and seen. Emma helped me to make sense out of my experience and to start integrating it. That aftercare is essential

Now, two months afterwards, I can say my depressive feelings disappeared completely. Even after recently having to face a major challenge in my career, which created a lot of stress, I did not get those feelings anymore

I'm sure that if this would have happened before the psychedelic sessions, it would have triggered my anxiety and depression. Now I know it will all work out. Trust in myself and in life itself is much more present. I can rewrite my narrative much more easily”

The above example is a very profound experience with an obvious change. Change looks different for different clients. I also see changes can be a lot more subtle but very fundamental. And the change doesn’t stop after the sessions. Integration and continuing the work in daily life is key

It is amazing to witness the profound transformation my clients go through when working with me and with plant medicine. I am so grateful for their trust

If you had asked me 10 years ago, I would never have thought I would use ‘drugs’ in my therapy sessions. Now I do. Here’s why

I have been a psychologist for 15 years. Throughout my entire career, I always loved expanding my range of modalities to help my clients better. Over the years I became accredited in EMDR, ACT, CBT, Couples therapy and Mindfulness. It allowed me to help more than 1000 people overcome a wide range of challenges and regain control over their lives

A few years ago, inspired by a profound experience my husband had with a psychedelic treatment, I decided to undergo one myself

I was blown away

Before the session, I could be impatient with my family. I was critical about myself. I was restless in deciding my next steps. I wasn’t clear on which direction I wanted to grow.   After that session, I experienced fundamental changes in the way how I perceived myself and how I navigated through life. I felt the connectedness to the bigger picture and my part in that picture

I am now more patient. With my husband, my kids and especially with myself   I am kinder to myself   I am more connected to nature and the people around me   And possibly most importantly, I found a new career passion: it was clear to me what massive benefits psychedelics could have in a therapeutic setting. That psychedelics were exactly what I wanted to add to my set of techniques to help my clients even better

I firmly believe in solid education, so I started a one-year intensive course on Psychedelic Assisted Therapy at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in the US. Many world renown experts on psychedelics, some of them featuring in the Netflix series How to Change your Mind, were my teachers. Joining this course was the best decision of my career   Since then, I guide clients during their own transformations using psilocybin

Witnessing people going through profound healing is humbling. I am often deeply touched by seeing what transformation people achieve. The breakthroughs they experience. The look on their faces after the session. The thank you notes they write me afterwards

Obviously, psychedelics are not a magic bullet. It’s not as simple as taking some psychedelics and everything is fixed.   A psychedelic journey can be emotionally intense. And that’s why I ensure thorough selection, preparation, mindset and setting in my treatments

After a psychedelic session the actual work starts: Integration. I support you how to deal with all the insights, the flow of new information, and emotions that may have come up during a session. And integrate these into your daily life. These are the foundation of effective psychedelic therapy
