Emma Maiden is a dedicated advocacy specialist and former union official, boasting more than 25 years of extensive experience in campaigning, legal matters, industrial affairs, research, and leadership positions.

She is a seasoned Superannuation Board Director with a strong background in nonprofit organizations, policy analysis, strategy development, and communications.

Emma Maiden holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Diploma in Law with a specialization in Industrial Relations. Her educational journey includes completing a Practising Certificate at the College of Law, a Diploma in Law focusing on Labor and Industrial Relations at the Legal Practitioner's Admission Board, and a Bachelor of Economics with a concentration in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Sydney. Additionally, she pursued an Executive Training Program at Harvard University to further enhance her skills.

With a remarkable career history, Emma has held various key positions within top organizations. She served as the Head of Advocacy at Uniting and as the Deputy Chair at the State Policy Forum for NSW Labor. Additionally, she contributed as a Director at legalsuper, Co-Convenor at the National Labor Women's Network, Assistant Secretary at Unions NSW, Lawyer at Slater & Gordon, Industrial/Legal officer at the Community and Public Sector Union, Advocate at the Australian Services Union (ASU), and Senior Policy Officer at WorkCover NSW. Furthermore, she has also served as the National Research Officer and National Organising Unit Coordinator at the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union.
