Eric Blood is an experienced technical systems engineer and project manager, specializing in the autonomous vehicle and aerospace industries. He holds a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, both from Carnegie Mellon University. With a diverse background, Eric has held various roles including Fault Protection Systems Engineer at Waymo, Project Manager for Arkyd-6 at Planetary Resources, Inc., and Systems Engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory across projects like Arkyd-6, Low Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD), Mars Science Laboratory (MSL), and MoonRise proposal. Additionally, he has worked as a Research Controls Intern at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and held teaching and research positions at Carnegie Mellon University's Mechanical Engineering department and Field Robotics Center.

Eric's skill set includes creating and leading multi-disciplinary teams, delivering spacecraft from design through operations, developing safety-critical autonomous behaviors, creating strategic and tactical plans, resolving cross-domain anomalies, analyzing data for actionable insights, negotiating requirements, effective communication, teaching and mentoring peers, and fostering an inclusive team environment. His current focus is on leveraging his technical expertise and leadership abilities to lead spacecraft, mission, and team development within the aerospace industry.
