#ESMO #Cancer #Oncology
It was my pleasure to attend McKinsey’s 16th annual Cancer Center symposium at #ASCO2024 where expert speakers discussed how to put patients at the center of oncology drug development.
Here are some key takeaways from the discussion:
☑️ There are a number of challenges across the current clinical trial landscape, including a flattening of trial success rates, assets/target herding, and barriers to patient recruitment ☑️ Adopting patient centric approaches to trial design could help improve patient access, enhance patient experience, and reduce time and cost burden for patients and caregivers ☑️ There is an opportunity to further evolve precision care delivery models by matching individual patients with the most beneficial combination of clinic-based or telehealth-supported home setting care at the appropriate time.
Thanks to all who attended and shared their insights! I learned a lot from the discussion and look forward to this event again next year.
