It is ok to have complicated thoughts and feelings about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Even better if you can admit you’re not sufficiently well versed and want to get better informed. The TLDR; this isn’t about the conflict; this is about the brutal murders, rapes, and kidnapping of children, babies, the elderly, women and men just like me, based purely on their Jewishness.
We are not ok.
I weep for 6 month old Ariel, a baby but a month older than my own, kidnapped by Hamas. I weep for the 250 ravers slaughtered at dawn. For Noa, for Ayelet, for all those families grieving and for all the reservists kissing their loved ones goodbye as they head to war. And you should too.
To anyone celebrating, you are anti-human rights, just so we’re clear.
Hamas’ mission is not about Palestinian people, nor is it about creating a Palestinian state: it is the complete genocide of Jews, the annihilation of Israel and to replace it with a brutal regime of religious supremacy.
