Erika Guevara Rosas is a feminist and human rights lawyer with a career dedicated to promoting and protecting people's rights. Currently serving as the Americas Executive Director at Amnesty International, she leads human rights work and operations across the continent. With over twenty years of experience in human rights, humanitarian aid, gender justice, and philanthropy, Erika has led complex operations and regional programs in conflict-affected areas for various organizations including the United Nations, Global Fund for Women, and Sin Fronteras. Her work involves leading campaigns, research, and litigation on issues like forced migration, sexual violence against women in conflict, gender justice, sexual and reproductive rights, and the protection of human rights defenders. Erika's writings on human rights and politics have been featured in prestigious international media outlets like the New York Times, the Guardian, Aljazeera, Washington Post, and El País. She holds a Master's in Women's Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Refugee and Migration Studies, and an LLB in Law.
