Erika Mercer is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background. She holds a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Program and Executive Program for Emerging Leaders from the University of Chicago. Furthermore, she studied Higher Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Arabic language through the Critical Languages Scholarship Program, and Comparative Literature and German at Middlebury College. Erika also engaged in study abroad programs focusing on German Language and Literature in Tübingen and Spanish Language and Culture in Salamanca.

In terms of professional experience, Erika has an extensive history at the University of Chicago's Polsky Center, where she held various leadership roles. She notably served as the Executive Director of Booth Entrepreneurship and Senior Director of Entrepreneurship Programs and the Svider Private Equity Program. Prior to these positions, she worked as the Director, Senior Associate Director, and Associate Director at the Polsky Center. Erika also has experience as an Assistant Director and Study Abroad Program Coordinator at the University of Chicago.

Alongside her roles at the University of Chicago, Erika Mercer contributed to the academic community as a Graduate Assistant at Harvard University and a Study Abroad Advisor at Brown University. She was also a valued member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
