Erika Vohman

Erika Vohman is a highly experienced professional with over 25 years of expertise in working with Brosimum alicastrum (Maya Seed) in the neotropics. Her extensive knowledge includes certification, best practices in production, standards, import/export, nutrition, ecology, phenology, seed storage, propagation, reforestation, plantation establishment and management, in-situ and ex-situ conservation, population and reproductive biology, postharvest handling, sustainable forest management, health impacts, recipes, supply chain development, sales, and marketing.

Aside from her botanical expertise, Erika also boasts experience in community development within Latin America and the Caribbean, with a particular emphasis on rural and indigenous women and extremely marginalized communities.

Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Agronomy from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Erika Vohman currently serves as the CEO of Maya SuperFoods and has previously held positions as the Founder and Executive Director of the Maya Nut Institute, as well as a Consultant at UNDP Equator Initiative.
