Private Capital, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise
Recently returned to NZ after almost 20 years in Europe.
As an Investor Manager at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), I work directly with investor migrants coming to NZ via the AIP program, and help connect them with New Zealands best companies to provide the capital, networks, and expertise they need to grow and scale their businesses. It's exciting work and working directly with NZ's best and brightest AND the adventurers who want to come to NZ makes me happy every day!
Previously, I led Google for Startups programs across Central & Northern Europe, focused on partnerships and business growth. Google for Startups is Google’s initiative to help startups thrive across every corner of the world. They bring the best of Google's products, connections, and best practices to enable startups to build something better.
I am a passionate connector of people, an Influential communicator, and endlessly curious.

Thrilled to announce I've started a new job - I'm now an Investor Manager at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. Part of the Private Capital team, my work is focused on channeling foreign investment into the best and most exciting opportunities New Zealand has to offer, via the Active Investor Plus program (more info below).
Best part of the job so far is getting to meet the most inspiring and motivated kiwi's across the entire startup / investor ecosystem, to figure out what they need from foreign investment coming onshore. Understanding how we best leverage the expertise and networks of these migrant investors is such an incredible opportunity for NZ to grow and I'm excited to be a part of it.
Shout-out to my small but mighty team - Jonathan Wells, Terry Allen and Matt Hoskin, and to Annabelle Glazewski for helping me land in just the right spot. Special thanks to Linda Sturgess, Suse Reynolds and Nicole Buisson for your advice and support, I'm so lucky to have found a cheerleading team of power-frauen in my new hood!

After 13 years at Google, and almost 20 years in Europe, 2023 was a year of BIG change - my family and I moved to New Zealand and I left Google. I was ready and excited for both moves, and it was still the wildest year I’ve ever had!
💪 Google was a momentous era for me - I shaped and built my career there and had the best working years of my life so far. I formed the most incredible network of people and experiences, both inside and outside the company, and made some of the best friends I could have hoped for. I travelled the world, and put down deep roots in a country I love.
❤️ For the past 6 years, I’ve had what might be the best job at Google - working with Mayra Frank (one of my absolute favourite people, and probably the best Googler ever) and leading the programs we run for startups in the region. It’s such a cliché thing to say, but the work Mayra and I got to do was a true privilege, and it will always be a highlight in my career journey. Thank you to all the incredible founders who put their trust in us.
✨ A huge thank you to my Google for Startups colleagues, you’re a team of magical, dedicated people and I’ll be forever thankful for our adventures! Special shout out to Rowan Barnett, Mariama Boumanjal, Michal Kramarz, Miguel Burguete, Fernanda Caloi, Noam Feinstein, Aleksandra Garbala, Magdalena Przelaskowska, Oliver David Turnbull, Victoria Wirtala, Sofía Benjumea, John Chan, Genevieve McKeel, Danny Navarro, Agnieszka Hryniewicz-Bieniek - I miss you, come visit!
🏠 The past few months have been spent settling into my new / old “home” country and enjoying a beautiful kiwi summer break. Big change is hard and turbulent and exciting and wonderful, and for me it was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered.
New plans are already in place - turns out New Zealand is full of more exciting opportunities than I could have ever imagined! 😉 Stay tuned, update coming soon!
