I like to reflect on #internationalwomensday just how unique each woman truly is. We are often described as a homogenous whole with common traits, feelings, talents and experiences. This could not be farther from the truth. Just like with men, I can reflect on the women I know and see tremendous variety - the homebody, the adventurer, the quiet one, the loud one, the funny one, the serious one, and many, many more - with combinations and complexities too varied to describe in one post.
While we may often face similar challenges out in the world, each woman is truly an individual with her own unique way of being.
If you want to help women move ahead in the world, I suggest practicing seeing each woman you meet as their own person and help to create the space for them to be who they are and where they can fit in the world on their terms.
