Ernie Parada is an Art Director/Designer and illustrator from New York City. With a background in visual arts, he has experience in various mediums such as digital, print, and video. Ernie's career in the arts began early, attending the High School of Art & Design in NYC followed by college studies in fine art and education. He has worked on album and CD covers for numerous bands and record labels, and his contributions were acknowledged in the book 'Radio Silence: A Selected Visual History of American Hardcore Music.' After a stint as a High School Art Teacher, Ernie explored music and mural painting before transitioning back to the digital realm. Noteworthy professional roles include serving as the art director of Guitar Magazine at Cherry Lane Publishing and working at OgilvyInteractive for over a decade. Inspired by Blue Note record cover design, Ernie values simplicity and clean aesthetics in his work, with a passion for typography, user experience, and data visualization. Aside from his professional ventures, he operates Hellgate Industries, a project specializing in designing and producing limited edition rock posters.
