Highlights
These pictures celebrating with my "day ones" over the last few years mark more than the changes in hairstyles; they help me reflect on the tremendous journey over the past four years at Amazon that has shaped the research leader I am today.
My hiring manager, Alexander Thayer believed that through my work on the Inclusive Search team, I could make Search equitable and delightful for all customers—regardless of their race/ethnicity, gender, size, and socioeconomic status.
Then Mary Pat Gotschall and Tracy Laxdal Lee paved the way for me to inform the Inclusive CX program with humanity-centered insights on the Shopping Design Team, touching aspects of Amazon Creators, Personalization, and Cultural Events.
This brings me to my current adventure of a lifetime: Rob Haitani brought me into the Alexa Experiences and Services team in early 2023 as a solo researcher in a yet-to-be-defined area. Since the start of the year, under the guidance of Vicki Haberman, I have been fortunate to learn from and lead the most talented group of researchers: Alysse Torres, Anna Hernandez, Erica Adams, Erin Cromer Twal, Ph.D., Intissar Ali, Ivan Koveshnikov, MaryLauren Malone, Ph.D., Naoko Makino, Sat Virk, PhD, JD. Every day, I am honored and humbled.
It's always Day One!

Wishing everyone a sweet holiday season!
Last week, some researchers and designers from the Amazon Design community in Sunnyvale gathered for cookies for lunch. It was great to catch up with some former colleagues and share a few laughs over amazing homemade cookies.
We got to gift Lisa Falkson our resident treat-maker who keeps us fed all year round with her fantastic baking skills!
Moments like these remind us of the great community we have here - thank you Kait Hines Celine Pering Lisa Falkson IKPONMWOSA OLOMU
